Sui, Stripe Partnership Launches New Stablecoin
November 13, 2025Despite market volatility and ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, the cryptocurrency sector continues to evolve. Partnerships between crypto projects and established financial institutions are increasingly viewed as crucial for long-term growth.
Today, the Sui Foundation announced a new stablecoin in partnership with Bridge, a subsidiary of the financial technology giant Stripe. The stablecoin, named USDsui, will be launched on the Sui network via the Open Issuance platform. It will be supported by Sui wallets, DeFi protocols, and applications.
This development is significant for Sui, leveraging both the partnership with Stripe and legal support through GENIUS. It allows Sui to tap into established financial infrastructure and expand its utility.
The launch is expected to increase liquidity within the Sui network and facilitate collaboration with corporate partners, while simultaneously enhancing the platform’s capabilities.
According to Mysten Labs co-founder and product manager Adeniyi Abiodun, “This milestone product, launched on Bridge, connects Sui’s native assets directly to global trade, fintech, and traditional financial rails, positioning Sui as the driving force behind the next phase of onchain economic activity. We’re building a self-sustaining, benefit-driven ecosystem that supports the real-world adoption of the stablecoin economy.”
The move echoes similar initiatives, such as Ripple’s RLUSD, which aims to provide enhanced payment solutions for corporate clients.
US Treasury Secretary Bessent has projected that stablecoins could reach a $3 trillion market size by 2030, highlighting their potential for future growth and integration within the broader financial landscape.
Increased adoption of stablecoins and the emergence of alternatives are expected to accelerate market growth across various blockchain networks.
