Starknet Drops 20% Amid Broad Crypto Market Decline
November 19, 2025Starknet’s native token, STRK, experienced a sharp price drop as major cryptocurrencies fell to key support levels. On November 18, 2025, STRK plunged nearly 20%, reaching lows of $0.17. The decline mirrored losses for Zcash and occurred alongside a broader market downturn.
Bitcoin, a key market indicator, shed over 4% to reach a low of $89,500, contributing to a global market capitalization falling to $3.13 trillion. Trading volume surged 45% to over $247 billion, while the price of Ethereum dropped to lows of $3,000. XRP, BNB, and Solana also recorded significant declines, resulting in global liquidations exceeding $1 billion.
STRK, which had recently benefited from gains associated with privacy coins, fell from highs of $0.22 to $0.17. This 20% drop erased much of the token’s recent 50% rally. As of the time of writing, STRK was trading 14% down in the last 24 hours, priced around $0.19.
Market analysts note that while Starknet’s total value locked (TVL) remains strong at over $340 million, the token’s correlation with Bitcoin left it vulnerable to the flagship cryptocurrency’s volatility. The token previously reached an all-time low below $0.04 on October 2025 and is currently up about 305% since.
This downturn occurs shortly after Starknet announced a multi-million dollar program aimed at Bitcoin staking, seeking to connect the Ethereum and Bitcoin ecosystems. For STRK to recover, finding support near the $0.16-$0.17 range will be crucial. A rebound could then target $0.24 and potentially reach one-year highs above $0.78, with the psychological $1 level as a longer-term objective.
Despite current bearish pressure, the platform’s Bitcoin integration remains a unique advantage for cross-chain growth, especially considering Ethereum’s upcoming upgrades. However, a prolonged bear market for Bitcoin could expose STRK to further downward pressure.
