November 16, 2025Solari Capital, led by AJ Scaramucci, has invested over $100 million in American Bitcoin, a mining company associated with US President Donald Trump’s sons. The investment was revealed in a report from Fortune, marking the first public disclosure of the firm’s backers.
Solari Capital initially led a $220 million funding round for American Bitcoin in July, before the company went public through a reverse merger in September. AJ Scaramucci confirmed the contribution, stating that Solari Capital invested “over $100 million,” while his father, Anthony Scaramucci, also participated.
Other investors include Tony Robbins, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, Grant Cardone, and Peter Diamandis. The company’s public listing previously did not identify these contributors.
In other news, Coinbase Asset Management President Anthony Bassili noted a lack of consensus among investors regarding cryptocurrencies beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. He stated there is a “very wide gap” in interest between Solana and XRP, indicating investor uncertainty about the next potential crypto assets.
Bassili observed that while Bitcoin and Ethereum are generally accepted as the first and second investments, Solana may be gaining traction as a third choice. He emphasized the need for new networks or applications to demonstrate market fit before gaining wider adoption.
Steak ‘n Shake announced its expansion into El Salvador on Saturday, following its earlier decision in May to accept Bitcoin as a payment method. The company celebrated its entry into the nation on X, which was amplified by El Salvador’s Bitcoin Office.
The restaurant chain has become a recognizable brand within the Bitcoin community, representing the growing acceptance of cryptocurrency as a payment option for merchants globally.
